Sharp Microelectronics of America has introduced a new 12.1-inch TFT LCD display for outdoors and bright ambient functions.
The TFT is said to be aimed at various outdoor applications like marine navigation, GPS systems, gas pumps, ATMs, outdoor kiosks, fish finders and land surveying equipment. This display uses less room and also eliminates the need of backlight bulbs.
