Share Happy is a machine, which is senile enough to give you ice cream, if it sees your smile. Well, it will be amusing to see how a machine will doodle the ice cream on your smile. Created for Unilever, this machine consists of a giant attractor screen. Once you approach the screen, you are required to flash a smile. And, with the help of facial recognition technology, the machine will judge whether your smile is genuine or not. If it is genuine, you are rewarded with an ice cream.

I understand, this machine has really come forward to redefine intelligence and that too at a new level (of ice cream) altogether. But, if we take in consideration that ice cream is more of a comfort food, at least for me, then the genuine smile part needs to be scrapped out. With this ice cream dispensing machine demanding you to flash a genuine smile is more frilly than something genuinely revolutionary. Of course, we will buy ice cream in a new way, but it will be little stressful too. But, I do have to agree on one thing, this gimmicky machine will sure add some more value to the brand.
And, in the words of Ian Maskell, Global Brand Development Director for Wall's at Unilever, “We're really excited about the possibility this new technology holds for Unilever. It offers a revolutionary new way for consumers to buy ice cream, and, simultaneously, a revolutionary brand experience."
