This is probably one of the more interesting concepts and something that surely would not be shot down with anyone. The senses of sound, sight, touch and taste are the ones that give us the simple and most valuable delights of our lives. Apart from being the basic senses, they are the ones that enable us to feel that glorious sunset, taste the magic of the amazing symphony and enjoy the caress of the gentle touch. Those deprived of them surely are missing out on stuff, even if they are able to carry on with their life normally.
The all new ‘Shake Up!’ music headsets look to rectify exactly that. They are designed to allow the deaf feel the music, if not hear it. This allows them to enjoy that amazing composition or that haunting tune as much as anyone else. The brainchild of designer Pierre-Antoine Bouzard, “Shake-Up!” headphone concept lets the deaf “feel” the music. Now this means converting sound in to some kind of vibration that is both accurate representation of the initial signal and also equally subtle!

How exactly this has been achieved is not really known as of now, but one really hopes that this indeed works as well as it claims. If it can open up the world of music to the deaf then that would be really awesome. Hope big shots like Sony take a look at it indeed and make the design a success. Moreover, they probably can perfect and take the technology several notches higher.
