Seventh successful test demonstrate THADD performance
World renowned in design, manufacture and service of aircraft engines, space propulsion systems and industrial gas turbines, Pratt & Whitney, showed its capability again during the successful test flight of defense vehicle under THAAD program (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense).

THAAD is mainly aimed at destruction of missile in its terminal phase just a seconds before they hit their intended targets through DACS control system, which provides roll control to help keep the missile properly aligned during boost phase operation. THAAD has gained a key position in Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) to provide rapidly deployable ground-based missile defense components at the time of need.
As compared to last six similar tests, THAAD's capability as well as DACS reliability to counter an intercontinental ballistic missiles attack has further shown scope for improvements in the upcoming days.
