The elderly often lose track of their daily routines. It’s not just with them, even we forget things pretty often, and it’s around the world, all those memory diseases have suddenly taken toll. Researchers from the University of Granada (UGR), have taken the issue seriously and to tackle it, have devised an Artificial Intelligence system to alert the elderly or people with special needs of their everyday tasks.

A system which would facilitate special individuals keeping under check their daily needs increasing their independence, uses RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) labels to recognize everyday actions of the users. The labels/sensors are placed on objects that the individuals touch (well distributed in the environment) these assess the activity with Artificial Intelligence techniques, then on a regular basis detects actions and sends those signal to a computer or mobile device, which alerts the user with the alarm. If the system can be pulled off we could definitely cut down on the memory related problems and lives would be simplified for all.
