Self-functional DIY rig for taking picture perfect Panoromic images
Frankly speaking I like panoramic images no matter where they are taken, and the more wider the capture area the better. Taking images and then sewing them together for a panoramic view requires a steady hand so that there are no anomalies in the final picture. [mhepekka] ventured out on creating an automated rig for picture perfect panoramic images from a DSLR camera. Named as “bender_328-A lightweight panoboter” weighing-in at 1.4 kg, the DIY rig is well suited for taking spherical and multi-row panorama shots. The main controller for the panoboter is an Arduino Pro Mini ATmega328, while the input movement is controlled by servo controller, shaft, gears and adapters. The coding is very long, so you better be patient while copying those code lines, otherwise the DIY is very simple for a seasoned DIY’er. Take a jump and have a look at some of the shots taken with this DIY rig.
