In one of the most significant developments in artificial intelligence, a miniature helicopter showed the audience at Stanford University why robots could soon match humans in intelligence. The four-footer flew, flipped, rolled, knife-edged and performed a wide array of antics over a field in the campus, amid looks of awe and disbelief. Designed by Ph.D. students, the helicopter could very well be the next best thing in unmanned surveillance and military missions. The helicopter communicates with a ground-based computer and is equipped with an accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer for speed and direction, and a GPS for location information.

Pricing and Availability: Priced at $4000, the helicopter is not for people seeking instant fun. It is designed primarily for surveillance and mapping and therefore the availability is limited.
