A few days back, we came across the fact that sitting up straight is not good for you. A study by Scottish scientists states that stilling in 135 degrees backward is the best way of sitting. Doe to this reason, this ever-present Aeron chair was moving ahead of the time in the year 1994.
Now, furniture makers such as Herman Miller and Humanscale are looking forth to have the chair of the future that will listen to who’s sitting on it and adjust itself to their weight. The Humanscale’s Freedom chair boasts a counterbalance system that adjusts itself like scales to the users’ weight as they reclines thereby fending off the need for recline controls.
Herman Miller designer Cameron Campbell said that their notion of a machine for sitting may not make sense in a globalized world. At the moment, we can’t make an idea how the future chair will actually look like.
