Seiko shows 80,000 pixels Active-Matrix E Ink display watch

Putting all watch lovers to think deeper into the future of wristwatches, Seiko has announced the “FutureNow” EPD wristwatch supporting an Active-Matrix E-Ink display. Featuring about good 180-degree visibility, the Active-Matrix E-Ink display allows for some 80,000 pixels (300dpi) with capability of displaying four shades of gray each. On the lovely E-Ink display the watch ably features the time, date and a earth’s photo to display the world clock. Seiko does speak of the watch’s displaying saving on power, but how much, isn’t really informed. While we are forced to wait for the specs and pricing details, it’s fitting to jump down and see a little demo of the watch and its display in action. God, can anyone of you sense my desperation to own one of these?
