Scosche has introduced the switchBACK surge g4 (model IP4BAT), a backup battery and kickstand case for iPhone 4.

switchBACK surge g4 is very helpful when you are running any battery intensive process on your iPhone, and especially more helpful as it is a simple stand that can be carried along quite easily. This extra battery carries enough juice in the 1800mAh lithium-ion battery to charge a dead iPhone 4-80 percent of its capacity. It comes with an accompanying free reVive app which allows the user to check exactly how much charge is left in the battery.

There are four LED lights to denote the battery levels at the physical level. The surge also includes a micro-USB cable for easy recharging and syncing of the iPhone. The surge provides additional power for 275 hours of standby, up to 12 hours of talk time, up to 36 hours of audio, up to 9 hours of Wi-Fi, or up to 9 hours of video - meaning enough juice till you reach home and lay your hands on the charger even when the iPhone is used at full throttle.
