Scientists develop a precise gesture and finger recognition system

Touchscreen is a new age phenomenon in interface design, while all consumer gadgets have adorned the touch attire; there are many out there who are trying to eliminate this touch all together, replacing the same with gesture controls. To add to this lead, researchers at Fraunhofer technical institute in Germany have developed non-contact gesture and finger recognition system. The gesture based system not only detects body movements but also tracks several figure movements for commands. The best thing about Fraunhofer’s gesture-based system is that this system works without the need of gloves of any sort, but still recognizes and identifies body and finger movements instantly to relay the command in real-time.
