Depuz states:
In 1963, Douglas Engelbart was a step ahead of us when he created the first computer mouse out of wood.
Sometimes, I wonder, why anyone would say the Wooden Computer Mouse is a New Gadget, if in 1963, Douglas Engelbart created the first computer mouse out of wood. We are now in the year 2008, where does that leave us in the technology front, back to the good old days, I guess. How can a wooden computer mouse that was created in 1963, be a new Gadget. Now, if Depuz wants to go ahead and manufacture wooden mouses, I see no reason why they should not. However, all you green people, who are trying to protect the World from deforestation, are going to have a problem with this.
Depuz goes on to state:
Think about the amount of time the average person spends holding a computer mouse each day. It ends up being their single most handled object. Besides poor aesthetics, allergies and other health concerns associated with plastics make wood a far superior candidate for such an application.
If I do understand how wood works, it cannot work better than plastic when it comes to computers, but if you ask me, I love wood.

This is classic! A techno-device with an eco exterior is interesting. The one in mouse shape was also terribly innovative and mouse compact powders also seem to be getting hotter. This one right here would completely complement the table on which they are to be used. great innovation!
The author is bang on target when he says that they shouldn’t be as a latest creation for they did come into existence 45 years back. Nonetheless the very thought of using wood rather than the conventional plastic is a noble one. I just hope that it doesn’t heat up to alarming levels where you can use it beyond a specified duration.
I don’t see how a wooden mouse contributes to the green revolution significantly. Laptops are the order of the day and people are slowly moving away from mouse-based control. More importantly, a wooden mouse will be heavier and painful to operate.
This is what I call an eco-friendly lover, I’m referring to the designer of that mouse.
