Sanyo’s new CE42LM4WPR is a waterproof LCD monitor which can open new avenues for the advertisement nerds. I am waiting for the day when some geek will place it in his pool to watch TV and Scuba dive, just to test its water-proofing capabilities.
Jokes apart this new TV has features like; it has wide view angle of 178-degrees and comes with HD ready. It has HDMI with HDCP and a component to produce high quality images. With a PC input the TV is also good for outdoor gaming and it accepts a wide range of PC signals including WXGA.
The panel brightness is 500cd/m2 with screen resolution of 1366×768. The contrast ratio is 800:1 and they all combine to produce high quality picture with vivid details.
The Weatherproof LCD Monitor has an RS232C interface which enables easy interfacing and has in and out connections capable of a daisy chain.
The TV is at least 3 times more costly than the normal one but the prices may vary from market to market.
