Samsung's new technology promises digital TV broadcast for cars

Samsung Electronics, the South Korean company, has claimed to develop a technology that will broadcast digital television transmission to car displays and other different devices, such as DVDs, games and MP3s.

The new portable technology, which Samsung has named the Advanced Vestigial Sideband, will initially be used in car TVs and dedicated media players, but it could possibly be helpful in mobile phones as well.
Samsung spokesman John Godfrey said,
We would like to expand the market by developing TVs that people could carry around with them. This is a different way to bring portable to the consumer but it's not about the cell-phone.
You may expect Samsung to demonstrate the latest technology in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
