Samsung's new patent: Turning a cell phone into a full-size piano or a drum kit

New Scientist has scooped out a latest patent filed by Samsung in which the giant promises to turn a cell phone into a full-size piano or a drum kit.

To achieve the effect, Samsung's latest technology simply projects an image of the piano keyboard or drum skins on flat surface via an embedded small video projector. Players can struck the keys and drums with the help of phone keys and the motion detected by an in-built camera is cleanly converted into appropriate musical sound. We're still skeptical, rather certain that the whole process will be quite irksome.
