Samsung has launched its CES 2011-displayed, new ultrathin Samsung Series 9 Notebook into the market. The new notebook looks like to be a big challenger to Apple MacBook Air in its size and performance level. Certainly, Samsung Series 9 Notebook is far thinner and faster than MacBook Air thanks to its Intel 1.4 GHz Core i5-2537M processor and other up-to-date components inside.

Samsung Series 9 Notebook highlights 13.3-inch screen. The device packs in 4GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD. According to tech analysts, with these features, Samsung Series 9 Notebook is much capable to compete with Apple MacBook Air notebook. The new Samsung notebook is available for purchase in the market for $1,649. Meanwhile, MacBook Air’s top-line model is $50 less-priced than the Samsung notebook.
The South Korean technology giant has further plans to roll in a smaller model of its Series 9 Notebook in April 2011. The proposed device will feature 11.1-inch display, Core i3-380UM processor, 2 GB of RAM and a 64 GB SSD. Samsung has not priced it yet; however, it may cost around $1,150, analysts predicted.
