Samsung to debut W960, the first AMOLED 3D display phone

James Cameroon revived 3D commercially with his film 'Avatar' and since many TV makers and display creators have been tapping the dimension. Now, how could phones be left out and thus to fill the void, Samsung is gearing to introduce the world’s first mobile phone featuring a 3D display. Dubbed the Samsung W960 the phone is expected to support a 3.2-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that’ll display 3D images without the need of any special 3D glasses. Confirmed only for the South Korean release now, the W960 powered by the Samsung TouchWiz 2.0, will support HSPA, DMB-T TV tuner, Bluetooth and microSD card slot. There’s no word on the release date or the price, and there isn’t a confirmation on when the phone would be made available to be sold outside the Korean state.
