Samsung intros SuperSpeed 3.0 interface external hard drives

Are you tired of transferring data to computers, watching movies or listening music through CD’s or DVD’s? Is it becoming difficult for you to carry them while traveling along with a separate power supply and other wires? I think it’s time for us to put an end to all those worries. Now, one can transfer data easily and at a super speed; can listen to music or watch movies directly from TV and need not even carry any wires or other power supplies while traveling.

Samsung has recently launched three new external hard drives including two portable drives and a desktop storage station. These drives without installing any software or any extra power supply enable us to work and entertain directly from computer or TV through USB ports. The user can transfer the data with a speed of five gigabits per second and 25 gigabyte full high definition movie in just four minutes.

The two portable drives consist of the 2.5-inch M2 and C2 Portable drives and the M3 desktop storage station is 3.5-inch. These external hard drives maintain super speed capacity of USB 3 interface.

The M2 portable drive comes with wave patterned matte finish and hollow sides for a comfortable grip while holding. As the name suggest, it is portable and slim. It is available in four colors including brown black, clay orange, Nobel beige and mist gray. M2 is available with capacity of 1 terabyte and USB 2.0/3 interface. This portable hard drive includes components that are eco friendly. It consumes less power and operates quietly without creating any disturbance to the user.

The premium C2 portable drive features an iF award-winning design with a transparent high-gloss cover and an in-depth crystallized pattern. This series is user friendly and comes with convenient back-up solution, Samsung Drive Manager. It is available with a capacity up to 1 terabyte and USB 3.0 interface. C2 portable drive is offered in two colors - Mystic Gray and Ruby Red.

M3 is a desktop storage station that supports both USB 2.0 and 3.0 interface. This drive is slim and resembles M2 portable drive. It comes with round corners for easy go. M3 drive has an LED light on the front indicating its operating status. The M3 Station comes in 1, 1.5 and 2 terabytes densities and in two colors – black brown and Nobel beige. It can be directly connected to TV without installing any software or any wires for viewing movies, photos or even listening to music.

These drives are expected to reach the market by the mid of 2011. The M2 portable begins from mid-April; and C2 Portable and M3 Station in May.
