Samsung files patent for a multi-touch dual screen tablet
Yes, we’ve heard a lot about the Android-based Samsung Galaxy Tab, but there’s a lot more on the platter waiting to be served. Following the league of Microsoft’s Courier, Samsung has filed a patent for a dual touch input tablet. This tablet device wears a traditional large touchscreen on the front, and according to the patent application, has an additional touch panel on the back of the tablet. The idea here is to build a device which can be controlled without touching the screen, or let the user perform multi-touch input ‘from the screen side and the rear side at the same time.’ There’s no word on the price or when we can see the dual screen tablet hit mass production, therefore we have our fingers crossed for this one.
