samsung flash memory chip
Another giant leap for the mankind is on the way with Samsung Electronics Co. boasting of developing the world’s most advanced flash memory chip! This highly enhanced flash memory chip would prove to be a windfall for the digital industry for sure. Just 30 nanometers across, the flash memory integrates the finer process technology to indoctrinate a 64 GB of NAND flash chip.

Samsung has made it public that this is the consecutive 7th year regarding the development in the field of NAND flash memory and 8th year in a stretch customizing the storage capacity of the same, way to go Samsung!

Samsung spokesperson further opined,

The flash memory device represents a major fly forward in the move to higher density flash storage solutions at a time of exploding demand for flash as the main storage medium in computing and digital applications.

Samsung has done its homework already, I suppose, as it has authoritative preparation to develop the chip by 2009.

This finer process technology upholds immense future projections for the digital industry by enabling maximum amount of circuit elements on to a single PCB or a microchip. Thus the result - a more advanced version of a flash memory!

If this technology gets its contour soon, it could find its use in digital music devices, digital cameras, and mobile phones. Another outstanding option you have with this breakthrough -these chips can preserve information even when your devices are turned off by mistake or deliberately, pretty cool!

We all are well acquainted with this fact too that Samsung also fabricates dynamic random access memory, or DRAM, chips used in our PCs. In 2006, the company publicized a 32-gigabit NAND flash memory chip based on 40-nanometer process expertise.

Chae Su-yeon, a Samsung representative made it public that production of that chip will begin next year.
Presently, Samsung’s flash memory chips are created by means of 50-nanometer process technology.
