Samsung Electronics kills the Sun with 1.72-inch Super-reflective LCD Screen

After BOE HYDIS, Samsung Electronics too have introduced a much better super-reflective LCD Screen for better visibility under the sun. The super-reflective 1.72" LCD Screen features a brightness of 100nit, a contrast ratio of 220:1/30:1 (transmission/reflection) and 50 percent color saturation which is made possible by Samsung Electronics' new transflective SR technology.

The LCD makes outdoor readability easy killing the sun's reflection with application of silver and hence enhancing the reflectance rate up to three times that of the usual qqVGA-resolution (128x160 pixels) mobile displays available today.
