The flat panel X-ray detector is an extension to analog X-ray machines. The advanced device creates precise images using thin-film transistor (TFT) technology. It measures 45cm width and 46cm height. It features a high 3,072 X 3,072 resolution or 9.4 megapixels.

It comes with a height-adjustable stand and an image enhancement function to prevent any kind of digital image noise interference.

With above features, the X-ray detector saves time, money and energy for X-ray photography applications in medical labs.

The device can also be used as advanced diagnostics including CAT scans, building inspections and airport security scanners.

Samsung is planning to release the detector during the first quarter of 2008.
