Samsung CL80 connected camera leaks with WiFi support

Posted By: Bharat BhushanSharma | Dec 28 2009

Come CES 2010 and we may see Samsung showcase the first real connected camera. Dubbed the CL80, the camera is designed to support Wi-Fi that’ll help the user to directly upload clicked images to different image sharing and social networking sites like Flickr, Picasa and Facebook (to mention a few), this, sans any connection with a PC. Besides this, the Samsung CL80 is also the manufacturer’s most advanced point-and-shoot camera with a 14-megapixel sensor and a 7X wide angle lens.

The camera is slated to feature a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen with haptic (vibration) feedback as the primary control scheme, along with ISO 4,800 (6,400 at 3MP), light sensitivity and hardware image stabilization. Capable of shooting video at 720p resolution, the camera allows for easy full-resolution previews courtesy it’s HDMI out slot. There isn’t a word on how much the camera would cost, but its launch is expected soon.
