Safety saves! Jacket to direct cyclists on the road making them visible
Life is precious that we all know. Not only for people who sit in their luxury cars and hit the road, but also for people who often are ignored on the roads and face close encounter with death. A sigh of relief for the cyclists all around the globe now, thanks to an innovative jacket with flashing indicators on the sleeves and brake lights at the back.

A London based citizen named Mr. Chen aged 28, has invented this Reactiv jacket keeping in mind the state of the cyclists in the streets of London, where cyclists are considered as second citizens and cab drivers and bus drivers show a low degree of humility towards them.
The jacket has flashing lights on both arms. Whenever a cyclist raises his arms the corresponding lights glow, giving a clear indication regarding the direction the cyclist intends to go in. The jacket also has lights on the back, which are linked to an accelerometer woven into the jacket's back that goes green when the rider moves forward, and red when the rider applies the brakes.
Mr. Chen intends to launch this jacket by Christmas and hopes to find a manufacturer to produce it on a mass scale. His invention has already been liked by the British judges of the prestigious James Dyson design award winning him a first prize worth ₤2,000.
This invention would also help the developing countries where the population is very high and the percentage of people using cycles to commute is comparatively larger as to that of the developed ones. This invention would turn out to be a blessing in disguise for those who while leaving their homes every morning aren't sure of a safe return.
Mr Chen hopes the jacket be on sale by Christmas, for about £100.
