There are objects that we see with our eyes, and there are those we see with the help of optical microscopes, still that human quest to see what nature may deny us to see, always looms big. To which Russian scientists from the Institute of Physics have developed a device which could allow us to see what’s been invisible until. Called the Tandem Organic Transformer, it is a light amplifier which comprising metal-organic diodes makes a screen that turns invisible signals into full scale images perfectly visible to human eyes.

Similar to the displays, the Tandem Organic Transformer with current amplification factor of 100,000 gives images in visible light range say when the display is exposed to infrared radiations. Tandem Organic Transformer has organic photosensitive diodes which capture light in electric current, which is amplified in diode’s organic part thus affecting a LED which emits light to transfer images in high quality.
