The rumor

Rumor mills never relax. They often investigate into the possibilities, features and tech specs of the promising versions of leading technology products. Samsung Galaxy S II just came out of warps this summer. The device, which was meant to be a 2011 iPhone version killer, thus came off to land in stores months before the iPhone 4S’ announcement. Apple has just announced its next generation iPhone 4S, which will be up with many incredible features and capabilities. Samsung may have thought of rolling out a Samsung Galaxy S III earlier in order to face off the possible iPhone 4S mania.

Predicted Features

The new Samsung Galaxy S version is expected to come with a 1.8 GHz dual core Exynos processor, 2GB RAM, 4.6-inch Super AMOLED Plus HD display, and 12-megapixel rear camera. The latest facilities like LTE (Long-Term Evolution) and NFC (Near Field Communication) will also be there on Galaxy S 3. Needless to mention, the new Samsung smartphone will be running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the still unannounced upcoming version of Google Android. Certainly, the new Galaxy S version will be slighter and thinner than its current version, already one of world’s thinnest smartphones.

What if it is true

Samsung Galaxy S is already a brand that has been competing well with Apple iPhone smartphones. Samsung launched its first version of Galaxy S in 2010 to take on Apple’s flagship iPhone 4. Indeed, Galaxy S original with Android Froyo 2.2 could raise huge threat to iPhone 4, the most sold-out consumer electronics product ever. Later, Apple realized its Galaxy S II to meet the possible iPhone 4 upgrade, an iPhone 4S or iPhone 5. But Apple delayed the release date of its Phone 4 successor because of unknown reasons.

If realized in the first quarter of 2012, Samsung Galaxy S III will be an actual challenger to iPhone 4S, which is expected to land in stores within a few days. Apple has just announced its iPhone 4S. The new iPhone will be up with iOS 5 and its celebrated multitude of features. Of course, a fresh Samsung Galaxy S version on Ice Cream Sandwich will be highly capable to take on iPhone 4S in a fray.
