As the English translation from Hardware-infos has it, Nvidia is rumored to be up and coming with their latest G300 graphics chip featuring the following specifications. Nothing really on the gaming performance to lure the fanatics already, but with 512 stream processors, almost 2.5 teraFLOPS of power, we can well reckon this as a big-powerhouse on its way. With 1-2GB of onboard memory to choose from, the chip’s expected to support 281.6GB/s of bandwidth and run at 1,100MHz. Using MIMD-like (multiple-instruction, multiple-data) units instead of the SIMD elements in steam processors, the G300 could have 2.4 billion transistors.
