For all that like things laid out on a different platter and for musicians with painstaking desire to show a difference, students from the Royal College of Art have worked out a human synthesizer called the “humanthesizer.” The routine involves a number of participants (humans) who have got a special conductive paint, the Bare, painted on their hands. The floor’s got lots of pads placed on it, with each pad being a section of the song, i.e. base, keyboard et al. The idea is to have people stand on these pads, so when in certain configuration they and the hands are touched, certain music is generated which eventually turns into a song. Check out the video to see how humans become a synth.
