RoCo: A robotic computer monitor that responds to your emotions
RoCo is a research computer prototype of a robotic monitor that is capable of responding to human emotions and needs.

This project is undergoing development at the MIT. It has a neck and a head that can move easily with respect to its base. Researchers are now developing algorithms that can enable it to physically respond to human emotions and needs.
The device can take up different positions and it encourages users to alter their position as well. The research is based on a number of studies regarding human needs according to the mood. For example a study has shown that people when depressed were more persistent at carrying out a tracing task if they were able to slouch while they did it. On the other hand when a human is in a happy mood then they tended to be more tenacious when they stand up straight.

RoCo can encourage people to alter their posture so that users can make themselves comfortable when they are using the system.
