Forget Formula1, here comes the race of the future in which even Michael Schumacher will think twice before getting out of the pit. Nascar - the Rocket Racing League will soon demand you to show your guts in its rocket racing series with your ‘high-tech, rocket-propelled airplanes racing around three-dimensional racetracks-in-the-sky with ear-shattering ferocity.’
Of course their will be pit stops to get the rockets refueled, as once filled the fuel lasts only for 4 minutes, but the airy path will not be easy to tame with other boosters to pin you down.
Peter Diamandis, Ansari X Prize founder and Granger Whitelaw, former Indy Racing League team owner, are fuelling this rocket-propelled aircraft competitive air racing to be launched next year. Both of them are confident that the spectacle will pull fans like anything owing to the imbibed thrill, excitement, speed and danger. The show will be broadcasted live which spectators can feed even on their PDAs.
‘We want to bring these vehicles to the public and bring 21st-century racing into their living rooms,’ Diamandis said on October 3 at a press conference at the Yale Club in New York City.
