Robovie makes shopping simple for the elderly

Robots are a large part of the Japanese cityscape and so are the elderly. For years, the Japanese have been devising new ways to help make life simple for their burgeoning older population. The latest in their pursuit is the Robovie shopping robot. What does the Robovie do to make life easy for the elderly? The Robovie retrieves shopping lists stored by the elderly on their mobile phones. With the list in hand, the Robovie walks along with the elderly and guides them to the different items on the shopping list. It will even carry the shopping basket for you.
