Commissioned by a client who demolished his 2005 BMW 645CI convertible in an accident, metal sculptor Bruce Gray has come up with a sculpture made completely out of the parts from the convertible. Dubbed the "Robot Sculpture 1," the piece of art combines different cast aluminum parts with existing brackets and mounting holes. Though, the original parts of the BMW 645CI were added and altered to form its movable head, movable upper arm and a forearm that raises. In addition, the sculpture presents a pivoting energy pulse gun with movable joystick/fire button controller and a hand that moves freely in different directions, while the feet of the robot are carved out of heavy old steel plates from train tracks. The Robot Sculpture apart from featuring a unique design also recycles old car parts to sustain the environment.
