Robot mimics human speech using mechanical, human-like vocal organs

Man made machines for his comfort, but gradually he became a slave of some advanced technologies. Technology is getting upgraded every second and the day is not far when machines will rule over man. One such technological advancement is this newly created robot that can mimic and talk like a human being. The talking robot by Professor Sawada of Japan's Kagawa University was shown at the Robotech 2011.

At the event, everybody was surprised to see that this robot could actually talk like a human being. This was made possible through different elements used in creating this device. These elements help the robot in reproducing speech like humans. The basic elements that allow the robot to speak include a nasal cavity and a silicon tongue that rely on regular airflow created by a pressure control valve. The machine also features a resonance tube that acts as a fake mouth along with an eight-resonance control motor acting like a vocal cord. Professor Sawada even gave a demonstration on the functioning of the robotic device.
