If you like your average RC robot to have a little ‘personality’ then the new Robonii is just the thing for you. The RC Robot apparently has a number of ‘moods’ that allow it to adapt to users’ behavior. Made by Robonica, the robot is controlled by programmable software which also lets users to create games and download them on the robot via USB. It can also sense other objects and robots using an infra red sensor which would explain why it needs 12 AA batteries to function. Displayed at the Toy Fair 2008, the mood changing, remote controlled Robonii also features a very distinct quality of getting annoyed when you don’t play with for a while. That ought to give your toddler a great lesson on what it would feel like to have a neurotic, moody, clingy partner when they grow up!
