Robo-roach to sniff-out and annihilate cockroaches
Moving ahead of the cockroach controlled mobile robot, scientists have developed a fully functioning robotic cockroach. The robo-roach, dubbed as 'insbot', looks, smells and behaves like a real cockroach, creeping with the help of wheels, cameras equipped with computer processors and sensors.
A whole army of robo-roaches will be developed and deployed to dig out other cockroaches from there hideaways and eradicate them. I wonder the amount of time and money scientists have invested in creating this bizarre pest control system. Anyway, the best part of the whole concept is that the insbots are equipped with pheromones and hence will be able to successfully bluff living cockroaches and even built camaraderie within their natural community.
