Research in Motion will not allow BlackBerry to go down even if they lose the patent battle against NTP. They’ll soon be out with backup software to give BlackBerry wireless e-mail service a fresh air. NTP will definitely lose all its future royalties as per Jim Balsillie, the chairman and co-chief executive of R.I.M. The new software, still in pipeline, can easily be downloaded by the existing customers. But adding a pinch of salt to the wounded Blackberry customers the new software will not be able to hold your messages to be delivered later in case you’re in an area without wireless service and you’ll have to try it again and again till the connection is reestablished.
