A few days back, we were taking a close look at the Nokia N75 multimedia phone. Now, it’s the turn of the brand new sleek and sexy Nokia N76. Earlier, when you thought of a slim and spectacularly designed cellphone or a smartphone, I am pretty sure that you might have never thought of Nokia. You thought of Motorola, Samsung, and Sony Ericsson. Right? But now, Nokia has the skeletal, fashionable, and multimedia-laden N76 to change your perception.
The Nokia N76 is Nokia’s direct answer to the trendy Motorola RAZR V3 and Motorola RAZR V3i. Since N76 falls in the Nokia’s highly respected N-Series, you can surely expect it to pack an array of multimedia functionalities that will make the gadget-freaks drool. Hopefully, Nokia is aiming to be in the list of the companies whose cellphone or smartphone is nominated as the ’slimmest of the year.’ Price tag read $500.

The Nokia N76 is not just about slim and sexy design but it also rocks a set of mind boggling features that would appeal to the die-hard Nokia fans. Boasting a flip phone form factor, the robust yet sexy N76 is the indeed my next smartphone. Here are its salient specs.
UMTS / GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 network
3G WCDMA mobile phone
256k 1.36-inch external screen and a 2.4-inch QVGA TFT internal display
Respectable 2-megapixel camera (Carl Zeiss Optics Tessar lens) with up to 20x digital zoom (you don’t need to open the flip phone to take the shots)
Video calling and video sharing functionality
26 MB of internal memory sucks but don’t worry you can expand it up to 2GB using MiniSD memory card
A decent music player with dedicated one-touch music controls and an integrated FM radio
Support for MP3, WAV, MIDI, AAC, eAAC, eAAC+, M4A & WMA music formats
Symbian OS version 9.2 OS, S60 v3.0 software
SMTP, IMAP4, and POP3 support, WAP, Nokia browser with mini map
Bluetooth and Edge wireless connectivity, USB compatibility

The multimedia laden phone makes me go mum with its spectacular make and moreover, it feels good when in hand. The beautiful dual screen 3G flip smartphone looks like a tough competitor to the Motorola’s sexy RAZRs and RIZRs. Gorgeous ladies out there will definitely love the mirrored surface on the external screen of the phone. Well, the 115 grams N76 measures 106.5 x 52 x 13.7 mm (larger than Motorola RAZR V3i that measures 98 x 53 x 13.9 mm, but still it’s respectable for a 3G smartphone).
I can say for sure that the ingenious guys over at Nokia had RAZR in their minds when they were designing the N76 as you could see the dent at the bottom along with a metallic keypad that resembles the RAZR.
As you flip open the phone, you will find dedicated media buttons that take you directly to your playlist. The head of the phone features the power button, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a mini USB slot. The 2-megapixel camera with built-in flash is positioned on its back. In short, the N76 fits in any of your pocket easily, it’s slim, and it’s one of the most attractive handsets out there on the shelves. It comes colored either in red or glossy black.

First of all, hats off to guys over at Nokia for coming up with such a sexy, stylish design. The make of the phone is tempting enough for all the slim phone lovers out there. Here are a few things that really impressed me.
It’s slim and can fit easily in any of your pockets
Battery life is fairly good and can last for a few days
I don’t have to open to device to capture an image and the picture quality is crisp
It’s fun to watch videos at15 fps with up to 4X digital zoom
As usual, sound quality for calls is satisfying and the phone speakers’ quality is also impressive
Easy uploading and sharing with Flickr
It’s too cool to get the MOTO feel on a Nokia smartphone. Although the N76 impresses us with its loads of features, it still has some flaws that can’t be overruled.
Lack of support for A2DP Bluetooth profile
It’s hard to flip open the phone with flick of the finger (Call it some kind of design flaw)
Improper positioning of headphone jack (Once again, call it a design flaw)

The Nokia N76 is indeed one of the most attractive phones out there in the market but I won’t say it’s the best. It offers a cool blend of design and multimedia capabilities. It’s not a smartphone meant for the business class but for all the fashion-savvy guys out there. I will definitely bless N76 with 7 out of 10. That means it’s definitely worth a pick.
CNet: The Nokia N76 offers sexy looks and good multimedia performance, but it also suffers from some annoying design quirks and connectivity restrictions that have us holding on to our money.
MobileBurn: The N76 is probably not the most attractive phone out there, but you’ve got to say that it is sleek. Design wise it seems to have everything that the market likes today.
Mobile-review: Nokia N76 is positioned as a fashion solution, with vivid trims speaking in favor of this assumption, specifically red and black color schemes. Overall the handset looks pretty stylish and will surely appeal to many; to me this is what the company is betting on - to draw attention of those who have struck Nokia 6290 off their short-lists for some reasons.
InfoSyncWorld: The Nokia N76 is a frustrating phone when you realize just how much better it must be abroad. The phone’s performance is a bit more zippy than the N75, and it includes niceties like a 3.5mm headphone jack and a slick design.
GII: It is an intelligently designed phone has all the ingredients to be accepted by the high-end mobile users. This sleek phone is bound to create some ripples among the high-end mobile enthusiasts worldwide.
