Review: Ballistic Mens Chrono Black Dial Gold Watch, toughest wristwatch we’ve ever worn

We have reviewed a few wristwatches here on GizmoWatch, Phosphor e-ink watch was what we considered the most exciting until, but that’s set for a change with the new range of Ballistic Watches. When we received an email from the Paul of the watches shop, inquiring if we would wish to review the Ballistic Watches, we were more than eager to do so, because the email claimed that Ballistic Watches are unlike any other wristwatch available on the market – they are the strongest, toughest and most durable watches available – and we definitely wanted to try this to believe.

Packed in a strong metal box with instruction manual, we received the Ballistic Mens Chrono Black Dial Gold Bracelet Watch, though I prefer silver watches over the gold ones, yet the mere look of this one sent shivers down my spine – I had never seen a watch that solid, this sure was worth all the claim, I thought to myself. Ballistic Chrono Black Dial Gold Watch is built perfectly for all kinds of heavy duty chores, cased in gold tone stainless steel, the watch weighs heavy on the wrist but is still within all bounds of sophistication.

We tried a few destruction tricks on the watch to test its toughness, which the make of it so vividly reflects and we were amazed to find the Ballistic Watch is actually the strongest, toughest amid the most durable watch we’ve seen in our time, and trust me when I say, we have seen a few real tough ones. For the make, the watch has a fine black dial with accurate Quartz movement cased inside the gold tone stainless steel frame, offering 100m water resistance, chronograph and date display. Besides the obvious second, minute and hour hand, the wristwatch has three smaller dials inside, comprising a dial each for seconds, 24 hour hand, and timing when stop watch is on.

The Ballistic watch has three outstanding buttons on the right side of the dial, each with a distinct functionality. The topmost starts and stops the stopwatch, which prompts the red second hand to tick around the face of the dial, while the button on the bottom is used to reset the stopwatch. The needle in the middle or the center button, if you may, can be pulled out to three positions in order to set the time and adjust the second hand.

Having detailed features of the Ballistic Chrono Gold Watch and also having tested it for its durability claims, we can say that with the Ballistic watches we are in for wristwatches for the actual man in us. Selling for £159.00 (approx. $250), for us the Ballistic Chrono Gold Watch is worth every pound on the price tag, not just because we are impressed by the watch and want to say it, but because the Ballistic watch is sure to make the wearer standout in the crowd without the impression of being a boaster.

The Ballistic watches are virtually unbreakable; they are shatterproof and can take a blow of a hammer. They are scratchproof and cannot even be scratched with a sharp chisel and they can be run over by a ten ton truck, jumped on and stamped on and still not even show any signs of damage. We’ve seen this for real in our own little trials with the Ballistic Chrono Gold Watch and are thus forced to conclude that the watch is surely the toughest and strongest we’ve worn.
