Retro Hacks - Computer controlled Bayan of the late 80’s

If you though that geeks are up to their cool hacking and DIY tricks only since the last decade, then you are utterly mistaken. Year 1988 was a testimony to the fact that hacks down memory lane are no less cool. A Russian engineer Vladimir Demin made a rig and computer that controls bayan, which is a chromatic button accordion player with two blocks of solenoid having loops of copper wire. The executive mechanism with solenoids has been constructed, created and programmed from scratch with all coils have reeled up manually. According to [lexademin] who submitted the video given below, name of the computer used is “Specialist” based on CPU KP580BM80A, soviet clone of Intel8080 made by Vladimir himself.
