While engineers and scientists are trying to mimic every bit of human existence with varying materials, a team of researchers from the Fraunhofer Institute together with colleagues from Duisburg-Essen University are developing a nanotech process to create a new kind of self-healing material, which gives the whole scenario a different twist. With this material capable of healing itself, we are taking about the illicit properties of the human skin, that robots and other mechanical entities could soon be found wearing. The material is readied wears an electroplating with fluid filled nano-capsules, when the electroplated layer is damaged these nano-capsules burst and the fluid works as a healing ointment to repair the scratch.

I don’t think many people are aware of it yet, but Nanotech is going to play an enormous part in our lives in the future.
I recently read about a new cellphone/computer that straps around your wrist like a watch and both sides of it are full of screens. You will even be able to fold it up and put it in your wallet!
