ReQuest Unveils First-of-its-Kind $10,000 Multiroom Audio System

ReQuest, the manufacturer that introduced digital music-server hardware and software for home entertainment and media systems, will unveil an exciting new solution for multiroom audio at the 2006 CEDIA Expo in Denver, CO.

The systems working is extremely cool and is based on music-server technology. It supports true plug-and-play installation and can give out a superb audio output to eight independent zones. A wired or wireless network can further increase the streaming.

The iQ system has three main elements The hard-disk-based iQ Intelligent Media Server, the 16-channel iQ Intelligent Multiroom Amplifier, and the modular iQ Intelligent Multiroom Tuner along with several touch panels which provides you with ease to operate. The most appealing thing is that it requires zero programming for great multiroom listening experience.

The product will be available in November 2006 along with media server, amplifier, and touchpanels for $10,000.
