Remote controlled Star Wars Sandcrawler model created by using more than 10,000 Lego bricks

Star Wars fanboys aside, many of us would have perhaps forgot about those hulking 'mining' behemoths known as the Jawa Sandcrawler. But that is certainly not the case with Flickr user Marshall Banana, who has meticulously and rather ingeniously contrived a 3 foot version of the Sandcrawler by investing 9 precious months of his life along with 10,000 Lego bricks!

The fascinating finish aside, there's more to this convincing conception than that meets the eyes. Beneath those ubiquitous Lego bricks, there is a circuitry of paraphernalia which makes the model completely remote controllable with those fully working threads, a motorized crane and a myriad of lighting ornamentations. And what's more; the exquisite craftsmanship is not just limited to the exterior, but rather transcends ethereally into the interior. This makes the interior fully furnished with a conveyor belt along with the all important sci-fi vibe.

So at the end of the day, we can frankly comment that this fastidiously designed conception is certainly a far cry from all those vibrantly schemed Lego 'houses' we have indulged in since our childhood. And with this, we give our heartfelt salute to the creator.
