Remote Controlled Hovercraft: whip up some living-room waves

Hovercrafts are amazing machines. There is something brutish about them. The way they create ruckus over water is wonderful. And don't forget their versatility (being amphibious and all). Naturally they can be quite expensive. So what to do if you are not Bill Gates rolling in greenbacks? For one, you can go out and have a taste of the fun, only on a smaller scale.

The R/C Hovercraft is a neat replica of the real thing and quite good at that too. This toy has got a twin engine running on three motors, so there is no shortage of power. Being remote controlled and capable of gliding on any surface viz. water, snow, ice, sand or even the living-room floor, this thing can be quite entertaining.

The radio-controlled hovercraft can go up to 7MPH on water and has a range of nearly 200 feet. It works just like the real thing, shooting pressurized air downwards and then gliding along. Being sold by raidentech here for $22. The package includes a charger that will juice up 9.6V rechargeable battery with a charge capable of lasting for 10-15 minutes.

So watcha waitin for? Have a splash at the next pool party!
