Wouldn't it be great if you are at The Ritz Hotel in London and could relive the scenes that took place in the movie Notting Hill? Or if you are in Illinois near the Maple Lake, where the house in the movie The Lake House was constructed, wouldn't it be nice to see and compare the differences? If you are interested in things like these, then you would be glad to know that you could soon have an app for this on your iPhone.

The app named Augmented Reality Cinema is based on a very interesting concept. Whenever you are in a spot where some famous movie was shot, the app would show you a clip of the movie related to that spot. So, if you are at The Ritz Hotel, you will be able to see the scenes from the movie Notting Hill that was filmed in and around the hotel. Isn't that interesting?
The app is still in development stage so how it works, when it's going to be released or how much is it going to cost remains unknown. However, it's not very hard to guess that it will be based on GPS data and each of the famous movie locations would be tagged to the movie clips. The app is likely to be a hit with most movie or travel buffs. Check out the video below to experience the Augmented Reality Cinema app for yourself.
