Is there any way to rout the attack of the Chinese clones? Forget about routing, can they really fight back, despite the fact that China is running out of labor force? After showing their dexterity in the world of automobiles, now they're ready to capture the mobile market.

The RedBerry is teasing BlackBerry ahead of RIM's long-delayed debut in China. Rolled out by China's second-biggest mobile operator, China Unicom Ltd., the new RedBerry service will no doubt give some heat to Research in Motion Ltd., which is finally planning to launch BlackBerry in China by the end of next month after delay of almost two years.
The RedBerry service uses CDMA digital cell phones marketed by China Unicom itself and will offer features similar to the BlackBerry, including the "push-mail" concept that automatically sends e-mail to the customer's phone whenever a new message arrives. The challenge goes stiffer where the RedBerry offering five-megabyte e-mail account costing less than a dollar a month, plus a few cents for each e-mail sent, whereas BlackBerry in Hong Kong charges up to $64 per month for unlimited e-mail. It's nail biting time for BlackBerry, at least in the world's most populated country.
