recycled robot beambot
Recycling idle-lying gear and trash into gadgets is a norm in the green-hooded world today. Recycling has reached as far as mesmerizing sculptures, but crafting robots out of trash is still pretty novel, thus the use of an old audio cassette player to make a robot lies just perfect in the juvenile trend (don’t cast it out as child’s play, though).

In a minimalist and resource oriented approach to robotics, David Gapen and other members at the Reuseum (that’s what they call their workshop wherein they also conduct recycling sessions) have crafted the BEAMbot - biology, electronics, aesthetics, mechanics (BEAM) robot. Besides its unique building material, the BEAMbot is a photophile, which means it is attracted to light sources.
