Recycled robot in an iPod dock makeover

Now, why do we need best of designers racking their heads in effort to design the best docking station for the iPod, when ripping some useless old electronics off their existence and putting them into shape of a music playing robot can do the trick. Featured above is an 18.5-inch Speaker Bot, one such robot, created by New York’s Lipson Robotics in all kinds of electronic scrap. Powered by an adaptor, wall socket, batteries or USB, the speaker bot functions well with all kinds of MP3 players and costs $550, but that’s all the effort that must have gone into recycling and assembling.
