Locomotives may have become a matter of past but contemporary designers from time to time keep striving to bring them back to life in the form of steampunk. Here is a small steam powered tank that relives conventional steam engines in their true spirit. Entitled “RC Live Steam Tank,” the steampunk tank makes use of a Mamod SE3 boiler to power the Wilesco D49 marine double piston engine, which creates the pressure at about .75 - 1.5 Bars to move 10-15 minutes per full tank of water. Running on alcohol or solid fuel tablets, the steam tank can be controlled by a 2 Channel Futaba remote while crawling on the ground. Check out the video to see the Steam Tank in motion after the jump.
