Razer’s Chimaera 5.1 wireless Xbox headset available for pre-order

Razer, the world’s leading high-end precision gaming brand, unleashes their wireless Chimaera 5.1 Xbox 360 surround sound headset. The headset will start shipping this April, but Razer has just given us gamers quite a treat, as the company listed the intense sound gear for pre-order at the price of $199.99 (or €145 in Europe).

This wireless headset will be initially hit the US markets. The headsets offers extra large circumerence aural ear cups for maximum comfort and will pack in 5.1 Dolby surround sound, 5.8 GHz wireless technology, volume and mike controls on the ear cups and an Xbox Live compatible cable. The dock station supports up to four headphones connecting you and three teammates locally to the base stations for a crystal clear, lag-free, and dedicated voice channel for laughing together at the opposing team as you crush them mercilessly.

As Razer claims, the battery will hold up to 8 hours of continuous playback, which should be more than enough for multiple gaming sessions. So guys, get ready for an ultimate wireless aural intensity to have just as much audio fun on the PC as you will on the Xbox.
