Gaming is an industry that is expected to see huge raise in the next two decades with the world becoming a smaller and more technologically advanced place with each passing day. People across the planet now are so fanatical about their PC or Xbox games that they have annual tournaments to decide who the best is, in the button pressing and joystick handling frenzy. These games have received a cult status and it is understandable how the gaming giants are going all out to capitalize on the large share of untapped and available market out there.
But let us not talk about how much cash is waiting to be made in the gaming sector. Let us just think about how much money we can spend to buy all the cool new games and accessories that come along with them. I mean, let’s face it; neither I nor most of you are ever going to design a game that is intended for a huge triumph over the world in a major way. So let us just think about what we can have and here is a stylish and freaky new accessory launched by Razer. Razer is known for making unique and very usable gaming accessories since long. Now they have launched the new special Collector’s Edition Boomslang gaming mouse.
The mouse is designed to tribute the first one the company launched way back in 1999. Then why are you expected to buy a model that is 8 years old? Well, the design might not have changed a great deal, but the technology this little thing is loaded with is sure to get you your money’s worth. It features an 1800-dpi 3G infrared tracking system, 32-KB of onboard memory for saving profiles, Razer’s 1000-Hz Ultrapolling technology. If that is not enough to satisfy your gaming senses then it also sports on-the-fly sensitivity adjustability, five programmable buttons, and a gold plated USB connector. Yes, you heard it right: A gold plated USB connector!
Ok, maybe the gold is there to appeal to the girls as well. All in all, it is a great buy to make. It comes in a black case with all the required manual CDs. At $99.99 (why can’t they just put $100 and make it easy for me to type?) it is surely a cheap price for a collector’s edition. Razer intends to manufacture only 10,000 of these units. So I suppose it is first come, first serve.
